For our learners, we would like to be transparent about the critical media literacy skills that we will cover in our course. When writing our learning objectives, we referred to Bloom’s taxonomy as a means of setting instructional goals and objectives. We created learning objectives to fit multiple parts of Bloom’s Taxonomy’s Cognitive Domain in order to ensure that different levels of learning are experienced through our course. Addressing different tiers in Bloom’s Taxonomy also allows for students with varying degrees of background knowledge to access our design.
